About Lobelia pratioides Benth.
Lobelia pratioides, commonly known as poison lobelia, is a small prostrate flowering plant native to Australia. Its leaves typically grow between 6 and 15 millimeters in length. Within the species' native range, it produces pale blue or lilac flowers from November through January. Its rounded fruits measure around 5 millimeters in length. This species grows in damp areas of grasslands and grassy woodlands in South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria. In Tasmania, it is classified as vulnerable under the TSP Act, while it is classified as rare in South Australia.
