About Lixus iridis A.G.Olivier, 1807

Adult Lixus iridis reach a length of 12โ€“17 millimeters. Their bodies are oblong in shape and colored yellow-grey. Three faint longitudinal grey grooves run across both the prothorax and the abdomen. As is characteristic of true weevils, their antennae are elbowed and thin; these antennae are positioned on the upper third of the straight, cylindrical rostrum, which matches the prothorax in length. This species also has thin legs, with femurs that are only slightly thickened.
