About Lithurgopsis apicalis (Cresson, 1875)
Lithurgopsis apicalis, commonly known as the orange-tipped woodborer, is a species of woodborer bee that belongs to the family Megachilidae. Adult individuals of this species frequently visit flowers from three plant families: Cactaceae, Malvaceae, and Asteraceae. This species builds its nests inside the stalks of Agave plants.
