Scientific name: Liparus coronatus (J.A.E.Goeze, 1777). Description: Liparus coronatus reaches a body length of approximately 11–13 mm (0.43–0.51 inches). These are rather uncommon small weevils that are almost completely shiny black. Their pronotum is finely and densely punctured. The entire basal edge of the pronotum is lined with yellow scales, and there are two large yellow scaly spots on each side. This species has strong, pointed femurs.
