Cei and Videla (2001) previously reported two populations of this species from Argentina, but these populations differ from the Chilean population and may actually belong to a different species.

Regional Distribution Records in Chile

In Chile, confirmed distribution records of L. gravenhorstii exist for Región Metropolitana, and potential distribution records have been noted for the O'Higgins and Valparaíso regions.
