About Lindheimera texana A.Gray

Lindheimera texana A.Gray is a plant that grows to between 6 and 24 inches (15 to 61 cm) in height. On the lower half of the plant, leaves are arranged alternately along the stem and have coarsely toothed edges. On the upper half of the plant, leaves are arranged oppositely along the stem and have smooth edges. Each flower head of Lindheimera texana bears five bright yellow ray flowers. Every individual ray flower has two prominent veins and an indented tip. The flower heads measure at least 1 to 1.25 inches (2.5 to 3.2 cm) in diameter, and grow no more than 2 inches (5.1 cm) apart from one another.
