About Lilium parvum Kellogg

Scientific name: Lilium parvum Kellogg. The flowers of Lilium parvum are smaller than the flowers of other lilies, and more bell-shaped than the flowers of most other lilies. Their color ranges from yellowish-orange to dark orange-red, with lighter orange or yellow centers. The petals have purple or brown spotted markings. An informal common name for a light pink-flowered variety that grows in the foothills of El Dorado County, California, is ditch lily. This plant readily hybridizes with other Lilium species that grow nearby.
