Identification: The brown coloration and four distinct spots on the wings make this species very easy to recognize. However, it can still be confused with other species of chaser dragonflies. Habitat: This is an active dragonfly that primarily occurs around ponds, vernal pools, and slow-flowing rivers. Individuals are most commonly encountered during June and July.
