About Liatris laevigata Nutt.

Liatris laevigata, commonly known as the clusterleaf blazing star, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Asteraceae. It is native to the U.S. states of Georgia and Florida. This plant is most often found growing in sandy habitats, growing in association with sclerophyllous oaks. It is occasionally classified as a variety of Liatris tenuifolia under the name L. tenuifolia var. quadriflora, and can be distinguished from Liatris tenuifolia by its larger basal leaves.
