This species has an elongated body form, with a base body color of dark brown or greyish. Adult individuals of this species can be found from May through September. This species occurs in southern Europe, the southern region of Central Europe, the Near East, and North Africa. It inhabits open areas, pastures, dry grasslands, and forest clearings.
