About Leucochroma corope Cramer

Leucochroma corope is a moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was formally described in 1781 by Stoll, under the basionym originally published by Cramer. This species is naturally distributed ranging from the West Indies and Central America (where it has been recorded in Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica) south to South America, with recorded occurrences in Suriname and Colombia. It has been introduced as an established species in Florida, United States. The wingspan of adult individuals measures approximately 23 mm. In Florida, recorded adult flight periods fall between January to June, in August, and between November to December.
