About Leucoagaricus rubrotinctus (Peck) Singer

The cap of Leucoagaricus rubrotinctus can grow up to 8 centimetres (3+1โ„4 inches) wide, is reddish brown in colour, and ranges in shape from convex to flat. The cap margin splits, which causes lines of its whitish flesh to darken. Its gills are white and do not stain when bruised or cut. The stipe can reach up to 10 cm in length, is whitish, is enlarged at the base, and has a fragile ring. This species grows in leaf litter across much of North America, and it is classified as inedible.
