About Leucauge argyrobapta (White, 1841)
Identification: Male Leucauge argyrobapta differ from male L. vetusta in the structure of the male palpal bulb, though the level of ease in differentiating the two species varies among individual males. Females of these two species are practically identical, and the main method to tell them apart is by their geographic distributions. Leucauge argyrobapta occurs from the southern United States (primarily Florida) all the way south to Brazil. In contrast, L. vetusta is found from the northern United States to Canada.
