Leptostales ferruminaria, commonly known as the light-ribboned wave, is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It was first formally described by Philipp Christoph Zeller in 1872. This moth is found in North America, with recorded occurrences ranging from eastern North America westward to Oklahoma and northward to British Columbia. Its habitat includes dry shrubby areas and wooded edges located along the floodplains of prairie rivers. The wingspan of adult Leptostales ferruminaria measures 15 to 20 mm. Adults of this species show variable appearance, and they are active in flight from late May to mid-June, producing only one generation each year.
