Leptosiphon nudatus (Greene) J.M.Porter & L.A.Johnson is an annual herb. It grows a thin, hairy stem that can reach up to 30 centimeters in height. Its leaves are hairy and glandular, and are partially divided into needle-like linear lobes. The inflorescence forms a head holding a small number of flowers. Each flower has a hairy white tube that can grow up to one centimeter long, and a white or pink corolla about one centimeter wide. This species is endemic to California, and is only found in the Tehachapi Mountains and the southern peaks of the Sierra Nevada. It grows in chaparral, woodlands, and other mountain habitats in this local area.
