About Leptoporus mollis (Pers.) Quél.

Leptoporus is a genus of polypore fungi. Its type species is Leptoporus mollis, commonly called the soft bracket, which is widespread across north temperate regions. The genus name comes from the Ancient Greek words λεπτός, meaning "thin", and πόρος, meaning "pore". While Leptoporus was traditionally classified in the family Polyporaceae, recent molecular phylogenetic analysis supports placing it in the family Irpicaceae instead.
