Leptomyrina gorgias, commonly known as the common black-eye, is a species of butterfly belonging to the family Lycaenidae. This butterfly is found in southern Africa. Male Leptomyrina gorgias have a wingspan ranging from 18.5 to 29 mm, while female individuals have a wingspan ranging from 25 to 32 mm. Adult common black-eye butterflies are active throughout the year, with population peaks occurring in November and March. The larvae of this butterfly species feed on plant species from the genera Kalanchoe, Crassula, and Cotyledon.
