Leptodermis oblonga, commonly called the baby lilac shrub, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Rubiaceae. It is native to Mongolia, central China, and northern Vietnam. It usually grows in sunny locations, including hillsides, roadsides, and thickets. It is a mound-forming deciduous shrub that is typically 45 cm (18 in) tall and wide, but can grow up to 60 cm (2 ft) in size. It is hardy in USDA zones 5 through 8, and it has a known cultivar called 'Summer Stars'.
