About Lepironia articulata (Retz.) Domin

Lepironia is a genus in the sedge family that contains just a single species: Lepironia articulata, which is commonly called the grey sedge. This species is distributed across Madagascar, India, Sri Lanka, southern China, and Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indochina, and Indonesia. It also grows in New Guinea, multiple islands of the western Pacific (the Ryukyu Islands, Caroline Islands, Fiji, Tonga, and New Caledonia), and northern and eastern Australia, reaching as far south as Thirlmere Lakes National Park in New South Wales.
