About Lepiota atrodisca Zeller

Lepiota atrodisca Zeller has a cap that measures 1.5 to 5 centimeters in diameter, with a dark-colored disc at its center. Its stipe reaches about 2 to 8.5 centimeters in height and 1 to 4 millimeters in width, and its gills are white. This fungus grows in forest leaf litter. It is common in low-elevation areas of the Pacific Northwest. Although it occasionally produces fruiting bodies in summer and winter, it typically fruits in fall, shortly after rainfall.
