Leistus fulvibarbis Dejean, 1826 is a species of ground beetle that belongs to the subfamily Nebriinae. Its nominotypical subspecies is distributed across Europe, Asia Minor, and North Africa, while the subspecies L. f. danieli occurs only in Italy. Adult individuals of this species have a body length ranging from 6.5 to 8 millimetres, which is equal to 0.26 to 0.31 inches. The beetle has a black body, with elytra that carry a shiny blue metallic sheen, and its appendages are reddish-yellow in color.
