Ledebouria ovatifolia, commonly called the flat-leaved African hyacinth, should not be confused with the species Ledebouria ovalifolia. It is a widespread bulbous flowering plant that belongs to the family Asparagaceae, and is native to South Africa and Lesotho. This plant has highly variable spotted leaves and attractive flowers. It is popular among succulent enthusiasts, though it is not strictly classified as a succulent. Its accepted scientific name is Ledebouria ovatifolia (Baker) Jessop.
