Leccinellum albellum (Peck) Bresinsky & Manfr.Binder has a light brown cap that measures 3–7 centimetres (1+1⁄4–2+3⁄4 inches) wide. Its stem grows 5–9 cm (2–3+1⁄2 inches) tall and 7–15 millimetres (1⁄4–1⁄2 inch) thick. The mushroom’s flesh is whitish, and it produces an olive brown spore print. Between July and September, this species occurs in eastern North America, growing under hardwood trees, particularly oak.
