About Lecanora argopholis (Ach.) Ach.

Lecanora argopholis (Ach.) Ach. is a species of crustose lichen that belongs to the family Lecanoraceae. Erik Acharius first published this taxon in 1803 under the name Parmelia atra var. argopholis. He later transferred it to the genus Lecanora in 1810. This lichen has a circumpolar distribution.
