Lathyrus nevadensis S.Watson is a trailing or weakly climbing vine with supporting tendrils. It reaches a height of 1.0 meter, which equals 3 feet. Its leaves are pinnate, with 4 to 10 leaflets per leaf, and a straight, unbranched tendril at the tip of the petiole. All its flowers are hermaphroditic, and they are pollinated by bees. The plant can also spread vegetatively via creeping rhizomes.
