Laplatacris is a genus of slant-faced grasshoppers that belongs to the family Acrididae. There is only one described species within this genus: L. dispar, which is found in South America. For Laplatacris, most nymphal mortality is caused by polyphagous spiders. Predators and parasites are the predominant cause of mortality for adult Laplatacris.
