About Lachnostachys eriobotrya (F.Muell.) Druce

Lachnostachys eriobotrya, commonly known as Lambswool, is a plant species belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is native to Western Australia. Ferdinand von Mueller first described this species in 1859 under the name Walcottia eriobotrya. In 1917, George Claridge Druce reclassified the species and transferred it to the genus Lachnostachys, giving it the currently accepted scientific name Lachnostachys eriobotrya (F.Muell.) Druce.
