This species can be found on Madagascar, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Réunion, the Comoros, and Astove Island in the Seychelles. Its habitat includes transformed grasslands and anthropogenic environments. The larvae of Junonia rhadama feed on plant species from the genus Barleria.
