About Jacobaea incana (L.) Veldkamp

Jacobaea incana, commonly known as grey ragwort, is a perennial herbaceous plant. It reaches a height of 5โ€“15 centimetres (2.0โ€“5.9 in), has a short stem, and bears basal leaves arranged in a rosette. Its leaves are silver-gray green, thin, spatulate to broadly ovate, pinnate, and covered in hairs. The plant produces corymbs of yellow to orange-yellow flowers that measure about 13โ€“14 millimetres (0.51โ€“0.55 in) across. Flowering occurs from June to August. This species is widespread from the Eastern Alps to the Apennines and the Carpathians. Grey ragwort grows in stony meadows, rocky locations, and moraines, at elevations between 1,700โ€“2,600 metres (5,600โ€“8,500 ft) above sea level.
