About Jacobaea aquatica (Hill) G.Gaertn., B.Mey. & Scherb.
Jacobaea aquatica (Hill) G.Gaertn., B.Mey. & Scherb., commonly known as water ragwort or marsh ragwort, also carries the synonym Senecio aquaticus. It is a member of the plant family Asteraceae. This species can be a perennial or biennial plant: young plants grow a rosette close to the ground, and eventually develop a taller flowering stem that holds many bright yellow flower heads. Each flower head has noticeable outward-facing ray florets. It grows in damp, grazed grassland, particularly in areas that have experienced some level of disturbance.
