Isolepis carinata Hook. & Arn. ex Torr., also known by the synonym Scirpus koilolepis, is a species of flowering plant in the sedge family. Its common name is keeled bulrush. It is native to North America, with most of its distribution centered around the southeastern United States, and it can also be found growing on the California coast. This plant grows in many types of moist and wet habitats, including disturbed, cultivated, and landscaped areas. It is an annual herb that grows in clumps of slender, erect stems that reach up to 25 centimeters in height. Its inflorescence is either a single spikelet only a few millimeters long, or a cluster of up to three spikelets. A stiff bract grows alongside these spikelets, appearing as an extension of the stem that extends past the spikelets.
