About Isognathus leachii Swainson, 1823

Description: For this species, the wingspan is about 85 millimeters in males and 94 millimeters in females. The upperside of the abdomen has indistinct bands, and the upperside of the forewing has an elongate patch. On the upperside of the hindwing, the inner edge of the dark brown marginal band is distinctly and almost regularly dentate, and this marginal band is not constant in width. Distribution: This species is found in southern Panama, as well as in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia and Argentina.
