About Ipimorpha subtusa (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775

Technical description and variation: The wingspan of Ipimorpha subtusa ranges from 27 to 30 mm, and the forewing length measures 14 to 16 mm. The forewing has an outcurved termen, and is colored olive grey-brown. The inner and outer lines are directed outwards; the inner line is straight, while the outer line is slightly curved, and both are pale yellow. The costal edge of the forewing is also yellow. The median shade is obscure, and the submarginal line is faint, with a dark shade positioned before it. The stigmata have pale margins. The hindwing is dark grey, with a pale fringe. The form ab. pallida Tutt is a colorless pale grey morph that has no rufous or fuscous admixture.
