About Iole olivacea charlottae (Finsch, 1867)
The buff-vented bulbul, scientifically known as Iole crypta, is a songbird species that belongs to the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. This species is distributed in south-eastern Myanmar, south-western Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and the nearby islands. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and it is currently threatened by habitat loss. The subspecies Iole olivacea charlottae was first described by Finsch in 1867.
