About Indigofera hendecaphylla Jacq.

Indigofera hendecaphylla Jacq., commonly known as creeping indigo or trailing indigo, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Fabaceae. It is native to the Old World Tropics and Old World Subtropics, and has been introduced to many other areas, including Japan and Australia. It was widely introduced for use as a forage plant because it was originally thought to be the same species as Indigofera spicata. Later research showed it is toxic to nearly all livestock, but there remains some uncertainty about which species was actually tested in the studies that found this toxicity.
