The wingspan of Incisalia lanoraieensis Sheppard, 1934 ranges from 16 to 19 mm (0.63 to 0.75 inches). This species is dull brown and tailless. Its caterpillars feed on black spruce (Picea mariana). The species' range extends from eastern New Hampshire through coastal Maine north to New Brunswick. Isolated populations are found in eastern Ontario, southern Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Maine, and it is rare in New York and Massachusetts. Across its range, it occurs primarily in black spruce and tamarack bogs.
