Incilius marmoreus, commonly called Wiegmann's toad or marbled toad, is a species of toad belonging to the family Bufonidae.

Endemic Range

This species is endemic to Mexico.

Pacific Coastal Distribution

Its main range extends along the Pacific coastal plain between northern Sinaloa and Chiapas.

Additional Occurrences

It also has an isolated population in the Veracruz region on the Atlantic coast, and there is one recorded sighting from Hidalgo.

Habitat Preferences

Its natural habitats are tropical deciduous and semi-deciduous forests, and it can also be found in disturbed habitats that stay relatively closed.

Breeding Location

Breeding for this toad occurs in streams.

Population Status and Threats

It is a very common species, though local populations may be negatively impacted by extreme habitat alteration.
