Idia calvaria is a species of litter moth belonging to the family Erebidae. This moth is found in Central France, northern and central Central Europe, and occurs most commonly in regions surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. It is also present in Turkey, Anatolia, and the Caucasus. The wingspan of Idia calvaria ranges from 24 to 34 mm. Adult moths are active from June to September each year. In the southern parts of its range, the species produces two generations annually. The larvae of Idia calvaria feed on plant species from the genera Populus, Salix, and Rumex.
