About Ideopsis juventa (Cramer)

Ideopsis juventa (Cramer), commonly known as the wood nymph, gray glassy tiger, or grey glassy tiger, is a species of nymphalid butterfly that belongs to the Danainae subfamily. This species is native to Southeast Asia. The butterfly has a dark gray to black base color. Along the margins of its wings, it has two rows of circular white dots. Closer to the butterfly's body, there are elongated white patches, and these elongated patches appear to radiate out from the thorax.
