Ideopsis gaura, commonly known as the smaller wood nymph, is a species of nymphalid butterfly that belongs to the Danainae subfamily. Its scientific name is Ideopsis gaura Horsfield, 1829. This species is distributed across Southeast Asia. The larvae of Ideopsis gaura feed on plants of the genus Melodinus, with a particular preference for Melodinus laevigatus. The adult butterflies of this species are mimicked by two other species: Graphium delessertii and Cyclosia pieridoides.
