About Idea stolli (Moore, 1883)

Idea stolli, commonly known as the common tree nymph, is a nymphalid butterfly species that belongs to the Danainae subfamily. This species is distributed across South East Asia. There are twelve species in the Idea genus, five of which are found in West Malaysia. Idea stolli has white wings marked with black dots and black veins. Its wingspan measures approximately 150 mm. The larvae of this butterfly feed on Aganosma cymosa and Aganosma corymbosa.
