About Idaea serpentata (Hufnagel, 1767)
Idaea serpentata, commonly known as the ochraceous wave, is a species of moth belonging to the family Geometridae. This species was first formally described by Johann Siegfried Hufnagel in 1767. It can be found across most of continental Europe and in the Near East. The wingspan of this moth measures approximately 22 mm. Adult moths fly from late June to early August, and they are attracted to light. The larvae of Idaea serpentata feed on a range of herbaceous plants, including Galium, Taraxacum, Rumex, and Thymus.
