About Idaea furciferata (Packard, 1873)

Idaea furciferata, commonly called the notch-winged wave moth, is a species of moth belonging to the family Geometridae. This species is native to North America, where its recorded range extends from Maryland down to northern Florida, and westward to Missouri and Texas. Males of this species have an approximate wingspan of 17 mm, while females typically have a wingspan of around 15 mm. Adult I. furciferata are most active on the wing from April through August. The species' larvae feed on plants from the genera Trifolium and Taraxacum.
