Idaea bonifata is a species of moth belonging to the family Geometridae. It is native to North America, with confirmed recorded occurrences in the US states of Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Utah. The forewings of adult individuals measure 6 to 7 millimeters in length. Adult moths are active in flight from March through October each year. The larvae of this species feed on decaying leaves and stored grains.
