About Icius subinermis Simon, 1937

Male and female Icius subinermis Simon, 1937 have different coloration. This species was originally restricted to the western Mediterranean region. It has occasionally been found in greenhouses, including a 1995 finding in Cologne, Germany. More recently, it has been found in the center of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and there are also existing records of the species from Switzerland and Italy. An introduced population of Icius subinermis has been described in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in North America.
