About Hyposidra infixaria (Walker, 1860)

Hyposidra infixaria (Walker, 1860) is a species of geometer moth that belongs to the Ennominae subfamily. This moth can be found in Northwestern Himalaya, Southern China, Taiwan, and Sundaland, where it mainly occurs in lowland forests. Individuals of this species show considerable variation in wing color, as well as in whether the subcostal line is present or absent. The larvae of Hyposidra infixaria have been successfully reared from four plant genera: Psidium guajava from the family Myrtaceae, Desmos from the family Annonaceae, Buchanania from the family Anacardiaceae, and Punica from the family Punicaceae.
