Hypolimnas dexithea, commonly called the Madagascar diadem, is a butterfly species belonging to the genus Hypolimnas. This species is endemic to Madagascar. It was formally described in 1863 by William Chapman Hewitson, based on a specimen collected by J. Caldwell in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Due to its size and coloration, the species has become a popular collecting target for butterfly collectors.
