Scientific name: Hyperaspis festiva Mulsant, 1850. Description: Adult Hyperaspis festiva grow to a body length of approximately 2.0 to 2.7 millimeters. These individuals have a black body and a yellow head. Their pronotum is primarily black: its anterior edge is yellow, the outermost one-eighth of the lateral edge is yellow, and it also bears a yellow lateral spot. The lateral and apical margins of the elytra are edged with a yellow border, and each elytron has a triangular spot on its disc.
