About Hymenothrix wislizeni A.Gray

Hymenothrix wislizeni, common name Trans-Pecos thimblehead, is a North American flowering plant species belonging to the daisy family. Its native range spans northwestern Mexico, where it occurs in Baja California, Sonora, and Chihuahua, and the southwestern United States, where it grows in far western Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. This species is an annual herb that reaches a maximum height of 70 cm (28 inches). Each flower head holds 15 to 30 yellow or cream-colored disc flowers, and is surrounded by 8 to 12 yellow ray flowers.
