Hydriomena speciosata is a species of moth that belongs to the family Geometridae. This moth can be found in a range extending from coastal British Columbia in the north, southward to California. Its primary habitat is wet conifer forests. The wingspan of Hydriomena speciosata is around 36 millimeters. Its forewings are marked with alternating bands of green and black. Adult moths are active and on wing during midsummer. The larvae of this moth feed on the foliage of plants in the Pinaceae family; recorded host species include Abies grandis, Picea, Pinus, Pseudotsuga menziesii, and Tsuga heterophylla. When larvae reach full maturity, they grow to a length of 20 millimeters. Pupation of this species occurs in May or June.
